Breakout Session

Data Governance and OrientDB

Tuesday, September 25, 2018

9:30am - 10:30am

Speakers - Daniel Belcher (Chief Data Steward, Michigan Department of Transportation), Colin Leister (Sr. Technical Consultant and System Developer)

Michigan Department of Transportation (DOT) has formed a Data Governance Council with high-level managers from across the department responsible for setting policy and managing enterprise data.  Efforts are underway to identify high-value enterprise data that belongs in a data repository/warehouse and populate the state’s data glossary.  OrientDB is a graph database that is being used to visualize and understand Michigan DOT's current data architecture.  Don’t miss the software demonstration.
